About the Wisconsin Marine Association.

Misson.

The Wisconsin Marine Association (WMA) includes members of recreational boating facilities and marine businesses dedicated to the sharing of ideas, knowledge, and experience to improve, protect, and advance the interests of the Marine Industry of Wisconsin while acting as stewards of our freshwater resources.

Future.

The Association will continue to create a forum to connect marina owners and operators and marine businesses to industry information and obtain feedback on ideas and needs to help enhance Wisconsin's great marinas and promote boating and travel. The WMA will build a strong offering of benefits and services to help strengthen its members’ businesses

Education
Offer and encourage member participation in continuing education programs for marine businesses and their employees in cooperation with industry organizations such as ABYC, AMI, NMMA, at a reduced association cost. Provide educational material for boaters and clients to help support resource protection.

Networking
Offer the opportunity to meet and interact with local and regional marine businesses and regulatory agencies to share ideas, while at the same time working together to solve problems common to member businesses.

Event Promotion
Work together to promote public awareness of the marine industry and member businesses through events such as National Safe Boating Week, National Marina Day, and the like.

Advocacy Support
Identify local, regional, and state issues/challenges within the marine industry and seek legislative or national industry support to address/solve such through association clout that an individual member lacks.

Affinity
Provide members access to benefits such as insurance, vendor discounts, or other industry promotions at a special pricing through association membership that otherwise would not be available.

Clean Marina Program
Administer, educate, and encourage all members to dedicate their businesses toward best management practices and the financial and resource protection benefits it provides.

Founded in 2009, the Wisconsin Marine Association has been bringing awareness and uniting the state’s marine industry for over ten years. As a 501c(6) nonprofit organization we work with and serve all marine
industry businesses.
